Posted on 30 January 2009 by Andrew

Pop star Kelly Clarkson rose to number one in US chart history, rising 96 places.

With a sale of a whooping 280,000 downloads in its first week of release, her single, My Life Would Suck Without You, topped the Billboard.

My Life is the first single from her album, All I Ever Wanted, which will be released earlier than anticipated due to her phenomenal rise to the number 1 spot. Clarkson was the winner in the first season of American Idol in 2002 and has now become a sensation worldwide. She has a few MTV Video Music Awards and 2 Grammys to her credit. She was also nominated for two Brit Awards.
